2009 COYOTE HUNT RULES AND REGULATIONS
FEB. 20, 21 & 22, 2009

1. No registration will be taken during
the hunt. The hunt will officially
begin at 12:01 AM., Friday, February
20, 2009 and will end
at 4 PM. on
Sunday , February 22, 2009.
2. Registration Fee will be $10:00, of which $8.00 will go toward cash prizes to
successful hunters and $2.00 toward adminstration
costs.
3. Each participant must be registered for this hunt.
When hunting in groups, each member of the group
must be registered, or
the
entire group will be disqualified.
Any club can register other members at the club's scheduled in`-person
registrations by
presenting absent
member's current (2009) membership
card and the $10.00 registration Fee.
4. Each participant must be a current (2009) member of the Mosquito Creek
Sportsmen's Association. Membership
applications
may be made at the same
time as the Coyote Hunt registrations.
5. Coyotes must be killed during the days and times of the scheduled hunt.
6. Participants must posses a valid hunting license or fur-taker license.
Participant's said license
will be checked when they
bring in a coyote to be
weighed.
7. During the scheduled Coyote Hunt,
coyotes may be hunted in any county in Pennsylvania.
8. Calls and dogs may be used during the hunt HOWEVER EACH HUNTER WILL BE
ALLOWED TO REGISTER ONLY THREE
COYOTES.
The first three tagged coyotes will be the ones to be counted.
9. The Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Asssociation reserves the right to have an
autopsy preformed on any animal presented at the
hunt if it is
believed the animal was penned, trapped or taken illegallly. Several wildlife
biologists and a veterinarian will be
available to enforce
this regulation- ALL ANIMALS WILL BE TAGGED THRU THE BACK LEG.
10. Any violation of the Pennsylvania Game Laws and rules of this hunt
will result in that person or group being disqualified
from the hunt and
suspended from the club.
11. Official weighs-ins will be done at the designated building on club property
from 8:AM. - 9PM., Friday and Saturday,
February 20
& 21 and until 4 PM. ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2009
12. The DEADLINE FOR WEIGH-INS IS 4PM.
ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 22,2009.
Prizes will be awarded by check, accompanied
by
proper tax forms.
13. Each hunter is responsible for the disposal of his/her coyote carcass.
14. The Prize Money will be divided in half.
One half will be divided in equal amounts, determined by the numer of all
qualifying
coyotes,
and awarded to the successful contestants.
The other half will be TOP PRIZE MONEY, awarded for the top three
coyotes in
weight, to be divided as follows:
1st Prize
- 50% of
the total Top Prize Money
2nd Prize -
30% of the total Top Prize Money
3rd Prize
- 20%
of the total Top Prize Money
NOTES: Please`send in
your registrations early by mail to help speed things up.
From 2009 on the hunt WILL ALWAYS BE ON THE WEEKEND AFTER PRESIDENTS DAY.
Kitchen will be open from 9AM. thru 10 PM. Thurs. thru Sunday. Limited
breakfast, lunch and dinner from special
menu.
